Copper Kettle

Copper Kettle... I just love this color, and its so fitting for the season. Last week I took a quick visit to my favorite yarn shop and my intention was to pick up a particular yarn I was told would be in stock... and of course... it wasn't. I strolled down the last aisle and heard whispering voices....look over hereeee... and noticed the Caron Simply Soft Copper Kettle skeins neatly stacked. Well you know what happened I skipped out of the yarn shop as happy as a horse galloping through the woods. That same evening I entered my crochet realm.. fiddling with the yarn, wondering and chanting... what will you become... what will you become. I decided I would make a cardigan and started out creating the back panel in half double stitches. I continued a few days later with the front panels and as I worked the front panels an idea came to mind... to do something different and did the front panels in two different stitches... the top in single stitches and the bottom in half double stitches. Today while waiting in the dentist's office I worked on the project and again was struck with another thought... what if I crocheted the front panels together...? Well, I left the dentist's office annoyed and anxious... b/c I need root canal work done...ugghhh, and anxious to get started on seaming up the front panels. Anywho, after getting over that disappointing news I dived into crocheting the front panels together.... and totally content with it... now on to the sleeves....... ohhh boy... I am hoping that it will not end up laying around like my Wild Oak Cardigan... stay tuned....
