Country Basket Vest

I started the Country Basket Vest on Monday... totally anxious... b/c I should have finished it last weekend.. its a present for my co-worker's daughter who turned 10 on Wednesday... thank goodness she's a lil thang. Anise is first and foremost adorable and very smart, she's always asking to see my lastest crochet projects and I decided what better way to show my appreciation for her interest in my hobby... so I made a vest for her.

Copper Kettle Sweater

Love...Love... just Love this sweater... for those that read my blog, I mentioned in a previous post that this project initially was to become a cardigan.. (check out Copper Kettle humble beginnings)... but as you know by now, I am an unconventional crocheter. Well now that its finished I am so proud of it. As always when crocheting a project, I learn something new and the unlimited possibilities in crocheting. The sleeves were done in double stitches (just like the back and bottom of the sweater) with a slight flair and did cuffs w/ slipped stitches for a finished look. Now lets take this time to just visualize sporting this with sleek slacks or jeans... now wasn't that refreshing...Well on to more possibilities... as always stayed tuned, there's more to come.
