Finale Top

Here is the Finale Top... totally... totally love the feel, airiness, and drape. The diagonal lines were worked up separately and sewn on... I truly like the way it looks close-up as if it was crocheted into the top... crochet thread is awesome. A definite repeat project... I could surely use a few for my suits. I have already ordered some crochet thread from Mimi Crochet Stuff and ordered a few balls of the Multi-Color crochet thread. The colors are so rich looking. I wouldn't mind trying a tank top and halter with the multi-colors... it would give my wardrobe some pop. Well... on to the next project until I receive my yarn. I started this project last year and it was my first time working with crochet thread... and I just couldn't get the hang of it... so it went into the wip bag and while searching for something I came across it. Since I got the hang of working the Finale Top... I immediately picked up this project, which when I left off was about 7" long... so I started crocheting like a fiend. Right now its about 17" long, my daughter wants me to make her a tube top.. but long and a little flaired at the bottom.. we'll see.. so far this is what I have. There's a row with loose stitching... so I need to tweak that. I have some elastic thread and will work that up with the final rows at the top.

Thanks Ladies. I wore it today.. but may need to add a couple of rows to the neckline... its a little too low... I'm like the Revealing Rita... lol... but totally love it.

Adrienne - I worked the tube top up freestyle... basically crocheting in the round. Let me know if you are interested in crocheting it or maybe you can find a knit pattern... I will write up the pattern... which I think I can do without fudging it up b/c its so simple.

Hi! I love your new top! You are so good! I'd love to make a top like the one you just made. Did you say you used 2 stands of thread held together? I'm trying to make one with lustersheen right now. I'll have to share it with you when I'm done and see what you think. Love you blog! Mary (Gaby)

Hi Mary and thanks for the compliment. I used 2 strands of size 10 crochet thread. Can't wait to see your finished project in the Lustersheen.
