I'm In Love.... Shhhh...

It all started so innocently…..

In my search for something different I aimlessly walked and walked in the hopes that I would find that... Something. But no luck, I realized that what I was looking for was not forthcoming… I proceeded to leave and return home to what awaited me, knowing that it wanted me to just give it one more try… whispering you had me before… why want something else… we have done so well together. As I descended the stairs I wondered why couldn't I have that something different... and as my feet hit the last step heading towards the front door, I turned my head to the left just so slightly, just a quick glance before I left... looking oh so somber... and there among so many others, there it was, in that instance I realized that what I was looking for was there all along, just waiting for me to just focus and really take notice, seductively beckoning me to come closer…

Well, the first week was a little awkward, not use to having something different, the touch, the feel, and oh so fine... why was I struggling… I started to wonder if it was at all what I wanted or was it just a fly by night. But I continued on, knowing that if I worked a little harder it would work in my best interest and…. so I tried again....

Two weeks later, I’m in love…. Yes, I can candidly admit it… love. I know it’s a strong word for something so new, but what can a girl say… it was love at first site. I now know that some things take time… but I have finally found it….

Quality crochet thread, 100% mercerized cotton, size 10 3-ply thread. So lustrous, smooth and strong. With everything said and done…. I can say that looking for something different has made be a better woman…

2 weeks later… in my kitchen,

Last night... a closer look...

stay tuned for the finale.... lol

Well Sheila, you have two options if it doesn't fit.

One is to put the hook down, leave your craft room and head to your mini gym.

Or, and I like this one much better, send it to me, LOL!!

I can't wait for the finale! That top is gorgeous. You really, really need to get your designs on paper. You are far too talented not to!

Thanks Ladies… the project was a definite learning experience… I finally got the hang of working with such fine thread and its all about the right hook... as for the pattern, I used the schematic measurements from Crochet! Magazine, which has a black/white twin set and used the schematic for the tank top and went from there. I have tried several times to write notes as I go along, but end up getting caught-up in the free style of designing. Hopefully, one day I’ll get it right.
