Show & Tell

and I'm telling you this Tunic is going to cause me a severe case of Tourette syndrome. Now tell me somebodyyyyyyy... how did this happen.... I noticed the change in the stitches after retrieving a dropped stitch. I flipped the piece inside out and right side in several times to no avail. Again noticed the stitch change when I retrieved another dropped stitch. You know what tho... I will not rip back... I am going to continue this tunic... it may not become a summertime tunic... but it will be something....lol

My tunic troubles came to an end when I received this.....

Happy.... Happy... because I quickly learned I hate changing needles... now my worries are over.

See this whole "knitting" thing freaks me out!

Are they the Options???? I bought a cheap set of Boye to get started and I'll see how it goes from there. I want the toys, but I should really play with the ones I have and see....

Unfortunately I can't see the pic that well but it looks like you did a few rounds in purl and then switched back to knitting. That second ridge at the top looks like purl.

OR maybe you accidently turned the garment inside out and continued on knitting without realizing. This happens a lot btw.

Maybe it will block out. It's not clear in the picture what's going on. It almost looks like that park is puckering out or it's purled. Strange. Maybe if you get it a little we and just do a little heat blocking it will lay down. It's best to give it try it now.

@ Deneen.. yes they are the KnitPick Option Needles.

Thanks Ladies...
I found out from a friend that after I picked-up a stitch I somehow placed the working yarn loop on to the left needle, causing me to end up knitting in the other direction, which will result in a purling affect and repeated the same thing when I picked up another stitch causing the knit stitches to appear again... go figure. She said it tends to happen when the knitter is trying to pick up a dropped stitch on the WS of the project and in the process end up moving the working yarn loop to the other needle. Boy-O-Boy...

Hang in there girl. You're getting it. I like your needles. I hear they're great to work with. I have to try them some day. I still use my addi and Inox needles.

How different the colour is in the pics you posted on it! I know how frustrating that is when you just can't work out why something's gone haywire. I always think rip back the bit that went wrong and try to remain calm and it will be worth it in the end. If you know it's there, when it's finished it bugs me too much not too. But if you can stand it at the end, carry on. Nice needles!

Thanks for your assurances that it will all work out in the end... I must say, I am totally loving knitting. Ideas are bursting at the seams of my brain on projects that I would like to do incorporating crochet. Hopefully I will get the kinks worked out or maybe not... PAJNSTL @ A Day In My World said something that I totally love.. "Mistakes a/k/a Designer Touches. Lov ya 4 that...lol

@ Liz - Thanks for stopping by.. as for the color of the pic... Lately I've been taking pics with my camera phone, thus the weird lighting....lol
