I Love Cloudy Rainy days... Ahhhh!!!

With a population of 19,306,183, being a New Yorker your compelled to rush here, there and everywhere, forgetting all about thank you and please... b/c you just got to get there... wherever there is. Once you step out of your house and begin to manuver to wherever it is you're going... its time to get your rush on...lol. Do I regret living in New York.......Ohhhh nooooooooo, in some sinister way... I love that rush...lol. But at the end of the day I definitely look forward to returning home to my lil surburban neighborhood.. where you barely see your neighbors, you could probably run naked down the street and no one would notice and after 9:00pm you can barely hear a rat piss on cotton....lol.

Rain... when it rains... oh... I am in heaven... everything comes to a crawl. People actually slow down and you hear murmurs of Excuse Me, May I, Oh Thank You, Please. I am known for being a lil quirky... for loving cloudy days, rainy days and a combination of both. It gives me a chance to reflect on any and everything.

As I head into work... I enjoy the beautiful sight of rain...

I'm on the Road againn....

Getting a lil knitting in...

Exiting the train station....
Finally at my destination.. taking a nano-second to take in the beauty of it all...

Do you like Cloudy Rainy days... and if so... what things do you enjoy doing...

Hi! "... barely hear a rat piss on cotton..." Too funny! I've never been to Ny, well, only to fly in and out of JFK. I don't think that counts. I'll have to visit. I'm in Vegas and the weather is HOT right now. We went to Mt Charleston on Sunday morning for breakfast. The temperature was 20 degrees cooler and we just enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching the humming birds. Have a great day!

My trip looked nothing like yours this morning...mine was more like my pants hiked up to my knees and my shoes in my hands, wading through water up to my knees trying to get into my building and keep my daughter dry!!!!!! LOL

I LOVE rainy days, but that kinda comes with the territory of living in the northwest.

I just love snuggling up with a favorite blanket and getting some knitting time in! :-D

Ahh, give me a cool, rainy Saturday afternoon and I will curl up in bed under the covers with a good movie on the tv and crochet all day or play on the laptop. Heaven.

drinking tea, and curling up some place to watch the neighbors who have to be out in the rain!

I love rainy days myself. It's such a cleansing feeling. I like to rest and take a good nap. I love the sound of rain! Thundering is more interesting to watch though than to hear. I remember once playing out in the rain as a child. It was too much fun!

That's one way of looking at rainy days. I'm such a sun lover!
I can appreciate the rain coming down outside of my window while I lay snuggled in my bed with a good book or a sappy romantic comedy.

BUT only if it's for ONE day, lol anything more than that, and i'm like the kids pouting and singing "rain rain go away..."

@ Mary Sarah: I got that expression from my mom whose got an abundance of funky sayings.. As a kid... when my mom got tired of us making a bunch of noise.. she would scream... the next darn thing I better hear is a rat pissing on cotton...lol

@Brown English: Although it was raining swords & knives.. I managed to escape the puddles.

@ Cas: Now if you want to see a grown women become catatonic... let it start thundering & lightening.. I totally hate it.

@ Virtuous: Dh took the pic while sitting in traffic... He said: I don't know if you know but I am got-dayum-it driving.. and then he took the pic...lol

@ PAJNSTL: As for the sun I am a total hater.. I frown constantly, then my hair puff up and the mere thought of sweating.. gets me all twisted...lol

When it's raining, I love to be at home, not headed to work because people drive like maniacs! I like to make me some hot tea, get my current project and relax :)
