Something Tunic 'Finale'

I love... can I say it again... love this project, perfect for a new knitter. Although I started off rocky... the 3rd time was a charm with my designer touches. I love the ribbon and opted out of the bead embellishment.. but may try it on the next go round. I chose LB Baby Soft yarn since I worked with it before and its perfect for washing and even drying if you like. For a minute it was touch and go when I had to work with 2 sets of needles... but got past that and moved on and finished off the edges with single crochet.

Had to emulate del ... loved the window pic.....lol

Yarn: Lion Brand Baby Soft
Color: Spring Green
Pattern: Summertime Tunic, by Katie Himmelberg (Interweave Knit 2007)
Needles: US sizes 4 & 6

Thanks for the beautiful compliments!! Again thanks so much for all the help. I am so loving the Tunic and ready to get started on another top, I was looking at the Tomato top.. but not sure. In the meantime I cast on following a pattern from Hip to Knit (Ribbed Tank) but playing with different stitches. There I go deviating....lol

I love the color and fit on you! Did you do any mods to the pattern? How long did it take to finish? Mine seems to be taking forever even though it's a simple pattern.

Thanks dear bloggers...

@Susan... Once I got the modified continental method right... it was a breeze, I started over June 24 and finished July 2nd. Any modifications were actually mistakes...like the additional band below the breast area...lol. Once the piece was 7" I did one decrease each row and stopped once the piece was 14" to give it a tad bit shaping... and then increased one stitch so that I would end up with the correct stitches for the armhole shaping (medium) and crochet the edges after binding off.

YEAH!!! You did it! You stuck with it and it looks great!

Hi Sheila...I see you on Crochetville and loved your green Christmas sweater from last year so thought I'd check out your blog...and I LOVE this tank! The color really looks amazing on you and I love it with the brown ribbon. I want to make it but alas, don't have IK 2007. :-(
