JaspeRed with a Blue Isle Twist

Jean Frost noted that her idea behind JaspeRed was to find a basic pattern that knitters could build on by adding whatever embellishment they wished. With that I opted to incorporate cables, which was a perfect twist to this garment. I think I found a tnt knit pattern...lol.
(I haven't blocked it yet, still have ends to weave in, and hush!!! I know I know I need a serious manicure.....haha!)

Pattern: JaspeRed by Jean Frost (Knitting Universe Fall 2007)
Used: 5 skeins - 200 yds each
Fibers: 75% acrylic, 25%wool
Purchased: Seaport Yarns
Needles: 7
Time: 10/6/07 - 10/21/07
Skill Level: Easy+

Sheila that sweater is stunning, and the cabled sleeves are simply beautiful. Is there a way you can pass on some of your "knitting annointing" to me? How do you complete these things so quickly? It's taking me forever to finish a simple little skirt and vest for my granddaughter - I'm still about 2-3 days from completion.

Alright, I have to catch up with you. -=giggle=- I haven't even mastered the cables yet and here you are making a sweater with them. You are awesome!

Thank You for the Beautiful compliments. Now if the weather could just get a tadbit colder...lol. I had just returned home and grabbed my daughter to take a pic... and I was sweating up a storm. After the completing the body of the sweater I knew I wanted to do something and realized cables would be perfect practice - I so want to do Silver Belle for my daughter... now if I can get over the 300+ cast-on stitches...lol.

@ Tracey - I spend about 3-4 hours a day knitting/crocheting. I was actually surprised I was able to do my first sweater so quickly too.

Sheila, I plan to knit a twin set for myself. I want to knit a sleeveless shell with a matching cardigan. The patterns that I have seen so far are somewhat bulky, but I'm looking for something more streamline and a little "light". Do you have any pattern suggestions? Thanks.
