Goings On...

Hello my Lovely People,
I know I'm a day late and a dollar short, but I'm sure everyone had a beautiful Thanksgiving, I sure nuf did...lol - I continued my Thanksgiving feast for another 3 days, talk about breakfast, lunch and dinner... lol
What!!! Snow!!!.... took a peeksy out my window and was like WoW!!
after seeing this leafy spread yesterday...

Well on the crafting front, remember this post, well I've sewn up the middle seam and I'm working the sleeves for my daughter's Kathmandu Drama Sweater...hehe - that's the new name for her project. I'm actually doing the sleeves two at a time and let me tell you it is tediously coming along and opted out of doing cables on the sleeves - just trying to do two sleeves at a time is challenging enough and trying to work in cables would've been a disaster.

Crochet has taken a lead in my crafting - It's been a while and I've been trying to finish this project that I was commissioned to do - I need to get buttons and white ribbon and currently working on the bib and lastly will do the booties. While I'm at the craft store I may purchase some appliques - maybe teddy bears and sew them on for some real cuteness. Also on the crochet front are my Apple Hats... I've only done one so far... and have 4 more to go... "eyebrows arched"...lol
Finally, I finished my daughter's skirt, the pattern is New Look 6843, which consist of Misses Skirt - 5 variations in one. I used some leftover Chocolate Light Weight Microfiber Stretch Suiting Fabric from pants I'd made for myself.
Remember this project - well my niece decided she could sport it better than me. I asked her about the Bamboo earrings, which I've noticed are back in what gives - she said... Missy you are so old fashion... this is the bomb right now... the 80's look... Uh!! can I say Salt n Pepper...lol
Do you have any favs from the 1980's - Reeboks and the Swatches come to mind for me...ROFLOL!

I want some snow, but only a little! Folks in Alabama already can't drive. Snow will make it ten times worse! LOL, your daughter is so cute! I love her hat and cape. You took me there when you said "SWATCH" LOL

Oh I know about driving in Alabama - the last time we were in Greenville - it was WTH - what kind of driving are they doin'....lol. Thank you - that's my niece who thinks everything I make should go to her... lol.

I woke up and nearly cried when I saw snow. I am definitely not a huge fan. Partially because I still need snow tires and I have really bad luck with accidents. Anyways, my favorite thing from the 80s is definitely the puffy hair and the over dramatic make up. Not to mention the plastic bracelets in large numbers. Your crafts are beautiful!

Welcome back Sheila. You know I've been checking your blog everyday, and everyday there wasn't a new post I knew you were working on something fantastic. As usual, you didn't disappoint. I love that baby layette and the hats. I am going to make a couple of similar hats for myself, once I get my grandchildren all squared away.

I always wanted a pair of bamboo earring but with people snatching earring out your ear back then, my parent were not trying to buy them for me. I can wait to see the finished sweater.

Hey, hey! You've been busy! Love the drama sweater and baby set and skirt! Wow! Your niece is adorable and as far as the 80's go, nope, nothing stands out for me. I was busy with 3 little ones and I don't remember fashion back then. LOL! Snow! Wow again! I see so little of it now. It's beautiful ... but then I won't be living with it in February either. lol..

Wow-so many great FO's! No snow here, but the wind chill has it down to like 20-rather have snow then the wind and cold like this.

The 80's remind me of skin tight Jordache jeans (remember I was early 80's), lots of gold chains and big hair and/or perms.
