HAPPY NEW YEARS all and hope some of your Resolutions are in place. Well I have a few New Years Resolutions and one of them is to get back into home improvements. While many slept through New Years day, dh, db and I were busy on one of my home improvement projects (we like to call ourselves the DIY Crew). We have way too many radiators,... and have considered time and time again to cover all 11 of them. Well dh in his pursuit to keep me happy... located one, which was perfect for the kitchen, but it meant moving the existing breakfast table to the center of the kitchen (so it became a quasi island). Also, once the radiator cover was in place, we felt something was missing and I decided an additional breakfast table was in order. So on New Years Day we headed to Home Depot to purchase the necessary materials to make the table.. and spent most of the day measuring, cutting, sawing, gluing and nailing and presto a table was borne. Its perfect over the radiator and utilitarian, I love sitting there in the morning with my coffee and newspaper and enjoying the morning rays.... ahhh a project worth the yelling, joking and cussing that went on that day. So now its on to the next one which is in the diningroom and looks like a sore thumb...
