Crochet Slouchy Hat

Happy Sunday All,

Its a cold and dreary day here in New York. The kind of cold/dreary day for a good book, but instead I'm working on a third Crochet Slouchy Hat for my daughter. Slouchy hats are very popular this season and she wanted in on the trend, and if I'm remembering correctly, I think F.rank S.inatra said it best.... I did it my Wayyyyy....lol

I must admit, I'm a day late and a dollar short, b/c she requested the hats last year. However, this weekend, all was put to rest and I crocheted 2 for her and working on a third. As I sit and type, this is the 3rd weekend that she has me working on projects for her...lol

One of the projects is McCalls 5758 in a Cotton Candy Pink Fleece, and after cutting out 10 pieces, I am having a hard time moving on - I just keep visualizing bottles of Pepto Bismal....lol. So I decided a third hat was in order and of course, you can gather that if I'm crocheting another hat there is no way I can work on her jacket.....hehe

If you are looking for quick gratification, the crochet slouchy hat is perfect. I used one (3.5 oz) skein of Vanna's Choice yarn and a "I" crochet hook. Of course, any worsted weight yarn would do. Also, I would love to do another one for her using Noro Silk Garden Chunky yarn, I've heard so much about it and it would be perfect for a slouchy hat. The crochet slouchy hat is a freestyle project, but so elementary that when I started writing the pattern, I was stumped...haha. However, I hope to have the pattern up this week.

I promised a pic of my daughter wearing her jumper, but of course she was getting ready for work and the time for taking pictures were not on my side. So hurriedly, she put on the jumper and I took a quick shot. I had to settle for a headless shot, gawd forbid I take a picture of her wearing a dooby scarf...lol
