Butterick 5181 Cut 2

Remember this post, wherein after removing excess fabric I realized I'd tapered the lower part a bit too much, hindering me if I had to leap for whatever reason. Well I've cut the maxi-dress and I feel like I can walk a straight line...lol. Also, it has become a work appropriate dress and too add a nice touch, I stopped at my favorite spot (The Loft) and picked up a ruched sleeve cardigan to pair with the dress. Initially, I thought about pairing it with a blazer, but remembered this post and stepped in line.
Now I'm thinking I could use a few more cardigans, but will attempt to make them.. so off to search the worldwide web for cardigan patterns.

OMG Sheila. It looks like two different dresses (of course it does). The second version looks so much better.

I love the transition. It's amazing how one slight change and totally change the whole look of the dress. Fabulous!!
