Crochet Cardigan Take II

Cardigans are in full force & effect making it easy to add diversity to any wardrobe because they are so versatile.  Here is my second Take on A Little Night Magic Cardigan worked up in Red Heart in Real Teal.

I went with a standard collar, but for the front panels, back and sleeves I did rows of double crochet for a lil twist.

After several scenarios of trying ribbons, leather strips and a belt to give the cardigan more of an anarok style, I settled on crochet belt which I weaved through the double crochet stitches and added cinch buckles.

End result... a comfortable and I like to think trendy cardigan to spice up any garment.

My next project is a lil out there... here is the completed back of the cardigan and thinking how to incorporate the faux brown leather that I have...mmmm

This look so nice on you, Sheila!! I haven't crocheted a garment for a while, but you inspired me so much!
It's nice to start my own project soon before winter comes.

You are insanely quick. I just started a pullover that I'm hoping to finish in under a month. This cardi and the other are beautiful... I'm still open to being adopted by you lol.

Thanks You!!!

@ Madelyn: being a quasi empty-nester, I have an exorbitant amount of free time to craft and to top it off I only sleep for 5 hours a day.... wink

@ Taki J & Alethia: The cardigan took 8 days and I was using a worsted weight yarn. What really sped this along - I was sick last weekend and confined to my bed Saturday & Sunday and crocheted like a fiend....lol

If anyone is interested in learning to crochet Coat & Clark has a great CD-Rom: Crochet Made Easy. I actually learned how to knit from their Knitting Made Easy CD-Rom.
