Ooowee Sweater

I am so in love with this sweater... seriously in love with it. I coined it the Ooowee Sweater when my guy saw it on me... he said "ooowee that top looks great on you babe"...lol

This is a free-style design, that took me all of 4 days, I crocheted feveriously, more so over this past weekend. The weather was cold, rainy and dreary... perfect for kicking back in my recliner with a hook & yarn and Law & Ord.er Marathon.

As you may all know,   I am an acrylic queen and used Red Heart Super Saver in  Black Fleck.  The yarn selection was inspired by a co-worker that wore a sweater about week or so ago.  Her sweater was a pullover in black with flecks of colors, bell sleeve and fringed at the bottom. Immediately, my mind conjured up a pullover sweater and remembered the black fleck yarn I'd been looking at the several times I went to Wal.mart.

This morning I popped up and started on another one with the intent on  writing a pattern as I go.  This time I hope to complete the pattern because I am notorious for writing patterns and then become befuddled when I reach a point where I am unable to articulate the instructions properly on paper.  It'samazing how its oh so clear in my head, but experience a serious brain dart when its time to put pen to paper...uggh.

Once the sweater was completed and the hundredth try-on I thought...mmm what about an oversized keyhole.  Added a button and there you have it.

With half a skein of yarn left over, I used it to make my favorite hat last nite... the Buckle Hat.

That is amazing! I'm so envious of people who can just free-style patterns, like you. I can barely follow a pattern, lol. It looks fabulous!

The sweater is amazing, and you look amazing in it. Of course, it does help that you have the amazing figure to show it off. (Did I use "amazing" enough times there?)

Thank you for the Awesome Compliments. I had to pinch myself to keep from wearing it again within the same week...lol

I have always had a hard time following patterns and often find myself free-styling a/k/a frogging....lol

I am home today with an upset stomach and hope that I could squeeze in working on the pattern some more.

I struggle everytime I attempt to put words to paper to write a pattern. I will push on and hope that it will be crochet user-friendly.
