Version II

I had it all planned.  I did a video giving a closer look at my latest project, which was inspired by Toya @ Life Happens  Be Positive.   I really like Toya's idea of giving her readers a  closer look at her gorgeous garments, inside contructions and techniques.  I thought it would be a great way to also give a closer view of my project, but it didn't work out.  For the life of me I couldn't rotate the darn video after all the formatting issues I was experiencing....uggh.  So what is a girl to do... keep it moving.  Hopefully, the next time I will have figured out the video editing issues.

Here is another version of the Ooowee Sweater with some differences.  I am totally enjoying the sweater phase that I'm going through and experimenting with crocheting them.  For this project, I used Caron One Pound yarn in Deep Violet, opted for short sleeves, cuffs and after trying it on knew it needed something, hence the tabs.  I didn't have the right buttons and used magnetic metal tabs that I'd scored from Virgo Fabrics for $.25 a piece some time ago.  Virgo Fabric is a lil shop in the heart of Brownsville... ummm what's the saying "know da drill when you enter da ville... or something like that...lol.  When I end up on that side of town, I make every effort to stop by Virgo Fabrics, one can find some pretty fabrics on the $1.00 rack and inside a boat load of other fabrics and notions.

The magnetic metal tabs work perfect on this sweater ...I also used them on the sleeve tabs.  Now if only I could get that darn video right side up... it shows a better pic of the garment and the embellishments.

The pic above shows the true color... totally purple passion...lol

Oh, that is pretty, Sheila! I love the tab -- a good closure without being completely closed.

My, my. I know Caron One-Pound and I have never seen it look so good. You've turned it into a gem. Your sweater is a beautiful perfection. Don't worry about the video mishap, the photo shown is the best. -- Did you know you won a prize off my blog ? Check it out.

You know what I love about your crochet and knitted garments you make really awesome projects from yarn that I would buy, just goes to show you don't have to be a yarn snob.

Love both versions and love that you make awesome pieces with "affordable" yarn.
