New Look 6831 w/ Simplicity 4273

Ok... can I say the rebirth of an old-timer, the pussy bow blouse with double knit wide leg pants.

I did Version D and made long sleeves with the aid of Vogue 8151 and added cuffs for a nicer finish

What was left for this blouse & pants duo was Completing NL 6831.  Last nite added the buttonholes & buttons.  During the summer I purchased a pound of buttons from Virgo Fabrics for $.50 a bag and in the bag were theses beige vintage shank pearlized buttons.

Inside pic of the tie serged to the neckline.  The blouse was sew friendly to work up and serged my way through the construction.

Another pic of the inside.

This is how I am wearing it today since the Wilona Jacket was a bust.

Cardigan is from Target

Additional pics with the blouse tucked in, but wouldn't dare wear it like that without a jacket, I have a short torso and combined with a wide waistband.... is a no-no for my body shape.

I have cut another one from a black/white gingham and fooling with the idea of using red for the cuffs... like I said fooling around with the idea.

Until then.... Everyone Have A Great Week.

Very Nice Sheila!

You know... when I was a child my mother had big @$$ed pussy bows on ALL my blouses. I hated them with a passion back then. But now.... I adore them. My mother thinks it's ironic yet funny. I used to give her hell for dressing me like that.

I just got V1127. The bow on that is massive.....

Love this look. So classic! Isn't it interesting how history repeats itself - I can remember wearing these tops back in the day! Nice work!
