OOTD in Paris

I don't always have the advantage of having a photographer to take pics in a desired location.  So what is a girl to do.... surf the worldwide web and choose a location...

Decided to venture over to Paris and strolled along several pretty streets feeling rtw fabulous wearing a black/white floral cardigan from Target, tangerine tank top from a five&dime shop and wide leg pants from NY&Co....

Uh oh there's a problem, I think I'm lost ... where did I go wrong... was it that left turn...lol

Sheesh... had to do a lot of walking to find my hotel... lol

Friday Question... Do you have a particular person to take pics of you in your sewn garments, find that you are always on the look out for a photographer & pray all goes well, do you use the camera's self-timer, and lastly, how many shots do you take before you have the right pic(s).

I really like the background. I have to learn how to do that!
My DH or my son are my photoguys and I have to wait for the right time to ask them to take a pic.

Too funny. As for your questions - I use the self timer out on my deck (usually). I tried getting tigerboy to take the pictures once but he is an expert at capturing something sticking out behind my head, something sticking out in side on shots that make me look like I have a male part of the anatomy that I certainly don't have etc. ... you get the picture. I usually wait until I have a heap of things I need to take a pic of and then have a session. Because I find it so tedious, I'm usually a one shot wonder (front, back, side, change outfit) unless it's really bad, so quite often I'm twisting a bit to check if the camera has actually gone off or not ie. I'm really only marginally better than he is at the photoshoot stuff but at least I don't usually have extra appendages in my shots.

Well, I'm jealous of you, KID MD, and Erica, because y'all seem to have husbands who LOVE to take your pictures and get them perfect! I was using my kids, but otherwise do the timer on the camera and take a bunch to be sure at least one is not blurry. Pitiful...

My Dh, brother, or daughter used to take the pics but of late have been dodging me...lol With my sewing room makeover I can now take pics using the timer and use powerpoint to remove pic background and insert preferred background using a googled pic.

LOL, how was Paris? Too cute. I either use the timer or, if a family member is around, I make them do it, lol. And I always take a bunch of shots and then edit them down.

I don't use a timer. I use a remote trigger(like a tv remote) for my Nikon DSLR.

This is really cute Sheila! I use a timer and a full lrngth mirror. The mirror usually keeps me from having to take too many shots because I can see how I'm posing.

I like how you use the backgrounds!

Thanks for commenting. The backgrounds can be easily found in google land, I just searched for streets in parĂs under images and copy & paste into powerpoint after editing the background of my pic.

I wish my kodak or fuji cameras were remote capable.

My Phin (DH) is my photographer. If someone else was available, I'd use them in a second, since he really doesn't enjoy it (and so neither do I).

Excellent background choices.

DH is sometimes my photographer but it's normally the tripod and camera timer that gets the photos done. In the winter, I do the photos in doors and in the summer, outside but when there are no neighboure outside.

Wow, Sheila, you seasoned traveler, you! I cannot imagine you having a bad picture. Occasionally, I am lucky to have my daughter, my husband, or my father take pics. Often, their first tries are better than what I capture from my camera/timer!!!!!!

Great pictures!! Love them! You always surprise me!

Those Sheila! I love the outfits and those pictures are too nice. I have sewn quite a few garments and can't get good pics. Setting the timer and running in place has worn me out!!!! LOL

I usually have my 14 year old son take my pictures. He actually does pretty well. He takes loads of shots from different angles and I go through them to pick just the right one. When he's not available, I have my husband take them, but I usually like my sons photos better.
Cool idea about the backgrounds. I might have to try this.
Enjoy your day!

You have managed to make Paris more stylish. You look great.
I have my daughter take my pictures, when we can find time in her busy teenage schedule.

I was wondering how you did the backgrounds. I was thinking photoshop but I'll have to try your method.
