Outfit of the Day

Happy Thursday Everyone...

No physical sewing going on, just a lot of sewing in my head.  How many of you do a lot of sewing in your head.. (please tell me I am not the only one)

With New York sporting an overcast day with 50 degree temp., I paired a cheery top  with an old dull suit (Loft). The top was made a year ago using McCalls 6078, the fabric is a large foral print stretch.

It's been coined the Hawaii 5-0 top.  After completing the top, I pranced into the kitchen to show the family my lastest project.... and being the funny bunch that they are... immediately asked me where was I going with that Hawaii 5-0 top?...lol   Then to make matters worst the photo I took... screams chucky cheese yall with the Hawaii 5-0 factored in....lol

Despite the funny remarks from the family.... I looooove my Hawaii 5-0 top and perfect outfit of the day for checking out my virtual car...lol

Have a Great Day All

Hey, if you can dream it, it can happen. Keep dreaming about that car!! You look fabulous.

I like the to by itself and with the suit. It's a pop of color and whimsey, both needed on a day like today. As for the car, if you can't dream it, you can't believe it!

The bulk of my sewing is done in my head. I suspect the you and I are not the only ones. Love the car.

Yes, I do a lot of sewing in my head now, but all are fantasy projects, lol. Love the shirt AND your family's nickname for it.

I sew in my head all of the time especially when I have some projects that take a little thought. I completely figure it out in my head and then I make the actual garment. I happen to like your Hawaii 5-0 top. Wish I was back in Hawaii right now....Beautiful place!

Sewing in my head....I know exactly what you mean. Happens to me all the time. I love how this top looks with the suit. The colors compliment one another!

Don't all sewers sew in their heads? Love the 5-0 top. It's the perfect compliment to your "virtual car!"

I construct entire wardrobes in my head. I think it's normal. I love the top, it's bright and cheery and gives a nice pop to a simple suit.

You are definitely not the only one who sews in her dreams. In my head, I am fabulously dressed. In reality...well...see what had happened was... =)

I think the H50 shirt is nice!

Great shirt and car.

Love that top, and the cowl is great - you're not even flashing when bending over! What is that fabric - it looks shiny, but you said it was stretch?

Sheila said...

Thank you.

Sister, yes its has a shiny finish with one way stretch. Whenever I wear a drape neck top, I like to wear a long necklace and a large pendant which helps to keep the drape close to my chest.
