2012 Year Review

My year was eventful, however sewing wise, it was ok, however I do have a few garments that took center stage.  You know out of all those pieces you sew a few that become your favorite.

I like to call this dress my shimmer moment using my rtw tnt wrap dress pattern which is perfect for donning when  needing to attend an event.

Ok... you all know this is my powerhouse dress, again using my rtw tnt wrap dress pattern... when I wear this ... its all about Sheila... yes... I said its about me... I loooooooooooooooove this dress

This is one of my tnt skirts New Look 6874, which takes me from sassy to can I help you please, pearls and all....lol

This top is my all time favorite, yes I have a few favorites, but this one is my all time favorite... Simplicity 1849...

Although its not an all time favorite, it found its way into heavy rotation during the those causal Fridays... New Look 6967

Oh... how could I forget my birthday party maxi dresses. and when I was feeling foot loose on the weekend... they were perfect and became a staple during the super hot days of summer...

When I look a these pictures, Nurse Jackie comes to mind... it worked for those causal Fridays when I just didn't know what to wear.... Modified Simplicity 1994

This summer was all about the peplum and was so inspired by many, that I had to jump on the band wagon using Butterick 5709.

If you don't know me by now... remember that song..lol.... well if you don't know me I love me some wrap dresses and this lovely fabric became one, which was purchased during a funfilled weekend with sewing divas.

Although I made a total of four Carnival of Skirts, these two McCalls 3830 are my favorite, which I coin sexy Madame and uban Chic...lol

Last, but not least is my favorite coat, Simplicity 4025, the fabric was gifted to me by Cennetta and have enjoyed wearing it.

What's in store for 2013, more sewing & crafting, as well as looking forward to what all the Sewing & Crafting Divas are doing.

Also, I would like to Thank All of You for taking the time to read my sewing shenanigans, your comments, inspiration and friendship means so much.  Thanks Again.

Until then,
Wishing You All a Blessed & Prosperous New Year  !

What a great year you had. I hope my reflections of 2013 look a little like this. I was just thinking; it's great that you know what style of dress/blouses suit you when you wrote the line about loving wrap dresses. I'm 48 and have just found out the same thing... I love all your clothes in this post, you are an excellent sewist.

It's difficult to pick a favorite, but I think I like the wiggly stripe maxi the best. I know it is really simple, but it looks great on you(but then everything does) and I love the fabric.
Happy New Year Shelia!!!
