Trendy Tuesday

The Floral Blazer is no longer thought of as fussy or something from your G-ma's closet or better yet something snatched from the bed.  For 2013, the Floral Blazer is known as the Summer Statement Piece.
I am seeing bright splashes of colorful flowers everywhere.  Ranging from intricate to totally out there crazy, but whatever the range, its trendy and I finally took the bait.  Purchased this Covington blazer from Sears about a month ago during one of their 50% off sales... total cost... $24.99
So, today was Trendy Tuesday for me, I paired my floral blazer, which I modified from 3/4" sleeves to short  sleeves with a pair of loft pants refashioned to shorts & a peach camisole  from Walmart... whew... that is definitely a run-on sentence...lol
I felt trendy & casually chic....
If you are feeling hesitant about adding this Summer Statement piece to your wardrobe... don't be.  The Floral Blazer is the perfect choice for feminine flair, casual chic & definitely a fresh take on color.

Until then....

Hoping Everyone's Week is going Smoothly.... Stay cool.

A fun, happy look for summer. By the way, I have a pair of purchased pants that never shrunk in size only in length. For the life of me I don't understand why. I never put them in the dryer, always hung them to dry. Oh well, it its what it is!! I was just about to put them in the give away bag when I thought of your pants into shorts renditions. So thanks for the inspiration!

Girl, I love it! I was a little concerned when I made my floral blazer that it would be too fussy, but I think a modern fit+print make all the difference. You look great!

Thanks Rhonda. I had the same issue with a pair of pants, wherein the pants shrunk lengthwise. It appears the lining shrunk widthwise and after constant trying on realized if I removed the lining the pants would fit better. Decided to take a gamble & removed the lining and cut the pants to shorts.. worked out perfectly.

Trendy indeed! I am loving your shorts...gotta make a pair of those! The floral blazer is really cute. The whole ensemble...just cute!

Thanks Lynn. I remember your garden on the body post, which also inspired me.

Thanks GodsgirlT. My thought is why buy certain garments when a quick refashion is right @ hand..lol
