Rainy Day Outfit

New York is cloudy, wet & downright messy and must admit commuting in it can make for a difficult ride.  However, I try not to despair and prefer to wear a dress on rainy days, especially during summer/fall seasons.   I find it hard to don wallies and raincoat.... uggh it just makes me break out in a hot sweat.

One of my go to rainy day dresses is a wrap dress (circa 2011).  I like to think of wrap dresses as investment pieces, you can never go wrong with them.  Dress em' up or down.. they just work for various occasions.

To add a lil rainy day sass to it I paired it with a moto jacket.  Of course with the rain and all, there was no way I was going to gallivant around in heels....

... Tossed the heels into my tote, along with an umbrella and donned my J-41s and was ready to tackle the rain.

Until then,
Have a Great Week !!

Thank you HobbyLover ! Matter of fact, I can't believe I have yet to make a wrap dress this year... need to change that.

Yeah, these shoes work for the rainy day. I was in new york earlier this year...and witnessed a lady with a gorgeous tote bag, wearing a great outfit and well simple shoes. We were in a really nice restaurant. She proceeded to remove the cutest little bag from her tote, to reveal a really nice pair of stilettos. I saw then, the answer to my question, of how you all manage "the pretty" shoe thing in a city that uses public transportation for everything.

Hi Andrea and great question, we finesse it by carrying cute lil shoe bags with our valet pumps in them tossed in our totes and schlepping in our walking shoes.
