OOTD w/ McCalls 7254

M7254 is a cardigan that is close fitting and unlined, with self-lined extended collar & peplum and sleeve option.

For the second one, worked up Version B and added sleeves

Fabric for this version is a printed ITY knit from Chic' Fabrics and black liquid faux leather for the sleeves which I purchased from Spandex House.  Again, being that I was using a lightweight knit, lined the bodice with a knit. As with the first one, the seams were serged and once the lining was in I attached the extended collar and peplum.

No different from the first one, I used adhesive to get a crisp and as close to perfect hemline and final stitched.

The fabric and lining armholes were basted together, then basted the sleeves in and serged thereafter.  For the sleeve hemlines, I just fused the hem folds with heatn'bond.  Lastly, for the closure, I did a buttonhole & black button.

For my next version and yes there will be another and possibly another....lol  I will adjust the shoulder length, it hangs a twee bit past my shoulder points.

However, it didn't break the overall look of the cardigan.  The cardigan paired with black slacks, black lace front tank and grey suede pumps made the perfect OOTD.

Until then,
Have a Great Week !!!
