Urban Knit Meet Up

Yesterday had a lovely time at the Urban Knit meet-up, which took place in Manhattan at a lovely spot called the I Gallery. Met some beautiful people and got the opportunity to participate in a knitting class, which I really enjoyed... learned how to cast on, the knit and purl stitches... and also to show my recent projects, which were the spring bling ensemble and my newest bohemian funk shrugs... Knitting is a whole new experience for me, the instructor was very knowledgeable and easy to work with... and I am sure that I will need to attend a few more of her classes to get it just right.. my daughter and her friend also attended and found it really fun... and looking forward to the next meet up.

Hello Sheila,
Thanks so for the email!
Hey, I like your blog also--you do great work!
Waaaah, I miss New York! I am a former Ny'er--born and raised--residing in Atlanta now after Katrina. I like it here.
I haven't knitted in years but I do have a knitting machine, still in the box, ha.
Take care

Have fun with the knitting. I enjoy it but it's so much slower than crocheting.
