stuff is so much fun. My niece is expecting in October and I'm trying to get my game plan on and started a baby blanket. What makes it perfect is that I'm working from my stash.....haha! This will be known as the Baby Making Stash Buster. I'm nearing the finishing line on the Blanket, which I am trimming out in white. I used Caron Simply Soft yellow and white and can't recall the pastel color brand, that's how long I've had it...lol
My dd asked me why is the cardigan so big. I told her the last few baby sets I did the babies just barely fit the cardigans...lol. Oh and the hats were too darn small. She said mommy hope you were not going around calling them big head babies...lol. No I didn't, but some of them babies' heads were almost as big as mine...ssshhh you didn't read that over here...lol. So I'm going biggy style...lol. The cardigan measures 26" circumference and 13" length. If I figured the measurements right this would be considered a 12-18 months. I'm using Caron Simply Soft for the cardigan as well, but as you know when working from your fiber stash you're not guaranteed to exact colors. But it'll do. I've opted for ribbon this time instead of buttons, but looking forward to using fun buttons on the other ones.
Now I'm in the process of doing a baby cardigan. I'm at the collar stage and probably will work on the sleeves while on my way to work tomorrow.
The pattern for the baby cardigan is a free style design, BUT I'm writing down my notes. Because I plan on doing a few more baby cardigans and will follow the notes to recreate it.
Sheesh, I'm going through my stash and I have a lot of thread yarn too, I may use that yarn to knit up one or two also.
I wish I knew the sex of the baby, if it is a girl... I would love to start crocheting a dress and if its a boy I would like to do overalls, the thread yarn would be perfect for that. Oh well for now I will settle for cardigans, hats & blankets... Oh I need to crank out some bibs...lol
