Verena V-Neck Sweater
I’m happy to have completed this sweater and it fits perfect. I was ectastic about the striping once I completed the back because there wasn't any pooling, but as I neared the front top part, I ended up with large blocks of stripes.
Pattern Description: Strawberry Pullover V-neck Sweater knitted in rev st st.

Pattern Sizing: Medium (36") - XX Large (48") / Modified Size Small (34")
Did it look like the photo in the Magazine: As for the style design, it looks like the photo.
Were the instructions easy to follow: The instructions were straight forward.
Yarn Used: Needful Yarns Filtes King Kelly / Color: Grey/Beige/Sage
Needles: Size 8 (5mm) Circular
Start/Finish: Oct. 1 - Oct. 12, 2008
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I opted for a variegated yarn. I had to modify the cast-on stitches, although I swatched. The pattern called for casting-on 96, but once I measured the width, it was too wide and then played with the cast-on stitches until I settled on casting-on 86.

To ensure some form of waisting shaping I did additional decreases (10 sts). For the neckline, I crocheted 2 rows of single crochet, but noticed after the fact that the crochet stitches caused some of the stripes to become inverted Vs just below the neckline :/
Also, I modified the sleeves by casting-on 43 sts, instead of 53 and lengthen them and glad that I did so, the sleeves fit perfect. Lastly, in the end I settled for the knit side of the garment after taking a long look at the final project and decided that variegated yarn and rev st st do not mix well...lol I have a few wonky stitches, but satisfied with the outcome.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others: I'm already thinking of doing another one in a solid color and long sleeves. This was a fun knit. Other than changing the yarn and making it a tri-color sweater. The sweater is simple and comfortable.
