Happy Father's Day & Kimono Love
Hoping All Have A Beautiful Father's Day
We celebrated Father's Day in Atlantic City yesterday and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Paid homage to several casinos.
Leisurely walked the infamous boardwalk
Took a brief detour from the boardwalk and checked out the Korean War Memorial
Couldn't resist making a pit stop in front of Ripley's Believe or Not Museum
Talk about a BEAUTIFUL day... the weather was perfect as we strolled along the boardwalk hand in hand... people watching, buying souvenirs and celebrating Father's Day.
Noticeable is another make of New Look 6126.... Kimono Love
I am in Kimono love... this pattern is super easy and was perfect.
For this version, I used a black/white silky/poly print from Flatbush Fabrics. For the first one I cut a medium, but this time went down a size, reduced the space between the rows of elastic and used only 2 sew-on snaps.
Did I say I was in Kimono Love.... so you know there will be several more of these.
This garment is the perfect alternative to cardigans/blazers for the summer. It has that V-factor... versatile, looks great worn with jeans, slacks, even shorts and really looks cute with a skirt or over a dress.
