2013 was a colorful and fun-filled year of sewing. I immensely enjoyed all the color I added to my wardrobe during the summer, which was made easy by refashioning blazers and pairing them with tops sewn in years past. Tops are one of my favorite garments to sew and last year involved a lot of sheer/chiffon fabrics and what I like to call ethereal garments. I didn't sew many skirts, I basically wore the ones I made in years past, however my crochets skirts got ample rotation earlier last year and Fall 2013. Dresses were another item I didn't really sew, only a handful, again dresses from years past were in heavy rotation throughout the year. Lastly my coats, M6656 is a funky fun coat to wear, which was primarily worn on casual Fridays. Now M6657, although it is a favorite, there is a love/hate relationship with it. I love the ombre concept, but I hate the length of it, just hate it. So it will be refashioned to a shorter length... so stay tuned.
